The Misfit Market is a vibrant, community-focused event held every other Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, featuring a diverse range of vendors, including local artists, makers, and small businesses. Our goal is to provide a platform for creative individuals to showcase their talents while fostering a sense of community.
At The Misfit Market, we believe in giving back. Vendor fees and 10% of all sales from each vendor are donated to Gillian’s Place, a vital non-profit organization based in St. Catharines. Gillian’s Place provides safe housing, support services, and advocacy for women and children who are escaping domestic violence. Their mission is to empower survivors to rebuild their lives free from abuse and to end the cycle of violence in our community.
By supporting The Misfit Market, you’re helping to provide resources for those in need and contribute to a safer, stronger community. The funds raised go directly to Gillian’s Place, supporting their emergency shelter, outreach programs, and education initiatives aimed at preventing domestic violence.
Join us at The Misfit Market to support local talent, give back to an important cause, and be part of a community-driven effort to make a positive impact in the lives of women and children in the Niagara region. Your participation truly makes a difference!
Hi! I’m Lizzy, and alongside my partner Marty from Marty’s Print Shop, we’ve spent the past eight months traveling the world—from British Columbia to Australia and New Zealand—participating in markets and embracing the vibrant communities we’ve discovered along the way. Inspired by the sense of connection and creativity we’ve experienced, we decided to bring that energy home and create The Misfit Market!
Marty is the creative mastermind behind all the bold designs you’ll see—featuring fun characters, bright colors, and unique artwork. His talents span T-shirts, prints, skateboard decks, signage, and even murals (like the one he painted at KokoBerry in Takapuna). Check out his work on Instagram at @martysprintshop!
I’m the organizer, social media manager, and behind-the-scenes coordinator—making sure everything runs smoothly. Together, we’ve combined our passions to build a market that celebrates creativity, community, and individuality.
Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to The Misfit Market!
At Misfit Market, we believe in helping those in need. To this end, 10% of all sales at the end of each market day will be donated to Gillian's Place, a nonprofit organization in St. Catharines, dedicated to supporting women & children escaping domestic violence situations.
